ABOUT THE PROJECT
The job was to create a crowdfunding video to raise money and help Camerata Laranjeiras to present at the Berliner Philharmonic, in Germany. It was particularly special because it would be the first time, for most of them, to be outside of Rio de Janeiro. Even though they live in underprivileged neighborhoods, the narrative focused on exploring their passion for music and how music was transforming their lives. It was an important accomplishment for these kids: not only to be able to become classical musicians, accessible only for wealthy Brazilians, but also to play in a stage where many classic icons had already played before. It was a co-production with Camila Marchon and photography of Paula Monte..

ABOUT CAMERATA LARANJEIRAS
Camerata Laranjeiras is an independent orchestra born from a love story between a Brazilian and a German violinist. They realized how much they have grown mixing each other's different origins and perspectives and decided to bring together kids from underprivileged neighborhoods and kids from the prestigious Deutsche Schule (Corcovado) in the same project. Beside connecting two different worlds, in a very divided city like Rio, they also connect styles, playing pop music with classical instruments. Most of their presentations are on the streets, making their art accessible to everyone. The crowdfunding video and the Deutsche Schule helped Camerata Laranjeiras to fulfill their dream of presenting at Berliner Phillarmonic in ocotober of 2017.
